Chamberlain & Sons is a landscaping company in Meridian, ID that provides landscape design and development. Most of our work consists of installing patios, sod, sprinklers, mulch, and more. All of our work is project-based, meaning we don’t perform weekly lawn care or maintenance. However, we do occasionally provide seasonal yard cleanup.
We are currently expanding our landscaping crews with additional project managers and laborers. Those with experience in landscaping or a similar service industry are preferred, as well as anyone who can speak Spanish. All team members should be able to lift 75+ lbs. We are a good-natured crew interested in growing our family. If you’re interested, we’d be happy to meet you and consider your application.
Available positions: Project manager, Laborer
Looking for team members: ASAP
Compensation: $17–20+ per hour (DOE)
A project manager will:
Oversee and assist with the installation of pre-planned or pre-designed landscaping projects. Manage a small crew of 2-4 people to ensure the completion of jobs in a timely and professional manner.
It’s a Chamberlain & Sons project manager’s second nature to be able to pay critical attention to detail. You must be able to identify quality work that aligns with the high standards set by C&S’s reputation.
As a project manager, your role is to materialize visions. You will be equipped with the resources necessary to complete jobs the way our customers have requested. It’s your responsibility to ensure the work is being performed efficiently and accurately.
Chamberlain & Sons is a business that cares about family, so a project manager should carry themself with as much pride and respect around customers as they’d have working on their own family’s property.
Finally, a project manager should have expert communication skills (english & spanish preferred) and be able to clearly articulate critical, progress-related activity to supervisors as soon as they occur.
Must have 2+ years experience working in a landscaping or construction-related environment, be able to lift 50+ lbs, and be motivated by performance.
A laborer will:
Be expected to work as a team to produce professional and detail-oriented landscapes in a timely manner.
Your role as a laborer is to follow directions with scrutiny and implement them as fast and efficiently as you are physically able. This position isn’t mentally taxing – but it is physically demanding. Applicants must be willing to lift (or team lift) heavy materials on a routine basis. As such, all applicants must be in “ideal” physical condition and confident in their durability.
In addition, laborers should be able to translate design instructions into actual layouts and articulate any confusion to their manager on topics that lack clarity (english and spanish preferred).
Chamberlain & Sons laborers should understand the importance of doing the job fast and correct (the first time) so that the next project can be pursued as soon as possible.
All applicants are required to be able to lift 75+ lbs and work well in a team.
